COVID-19 Temporary Homeworking Risk Assessments
As we move through key stages of the Government’s plan for a safe return to work, the message is to work from home where possible. The latest Guidance published on 11th May, requires an employer with over 50 staff to display a COVID-19 ‘5 Steps to Safer Working’ Certificate, confirming they agree to “take all reasonable steps to help people work from home”, which can be a challenging task. Knowing if your staff are working safely has never been more important!
In response to demand from our existing client-base the Temporary Homeworking assessment was developed in the early stages of lockdown, to assess temporary homeworking arrangements due COVID-19.
This assessment was designed in line with H&S guidance for temporary homeworking and has been used throughout the entire lockdown period, therefore, we understand the issues related to temporary homeworking e.g. musculoskeletal discomfort, mental health concerns, pressures of working with childcare commitments, and shielding due to personal circumstances such as ill health. It has recently been updated to suit an extended homeworking period, which many employees now face.
The assessment includes
- Importance of Good Posture Training
- Working in Isolation
- Health Questionnaire
- Temporary Homeworking Environment
- Display Screen Equipment
Please note this assessment is specifically designed to assess Temporary Homeworking and is not suitable for staff who are full-time/long term homeworkers. For full-time home based staff a dedicated homeworking assessment is available.
Customise your Online Assessment
